Defrosting Guide

Cooking Instructions

Oven

   1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
   2. Remove turkey from bag.
   3. Place turkey in baking tray & cover with foil.
   4. Allow for 25-30 minutes cooking time per 500 grams.
   5. Add a further 6 minutes of cooking time for every 100g of seasoning used.
   6. Approximately 40 minutes prior to the end of cooking time remove foil from turkey.
   7. Cover & rest the turkey for 10 minutes prior to carving.
 
Webber

   1. Close lid and preheat covered webber to high.
   2. Move the coals carefully to the side of the webber, so that they are not directly under the turkey and reduce heat to medium to maintain heat and ensure that there is 3cm clearance under the lid to the top of the turkey for air circulation.
   3. Place the turkey in a baking dish or elevate on a rack.
   4. During cooking maintain heat to medium level on the heat indicator and test the turkey with a reliable thermator that the meat temperature is above 82°C.
   5. Allow for 45 minutes cooking time per kilo of turkey.
   6. Foil may be used to cover the roast to prevent the skin from burning.
   7. Remove the cooked turkey from bbq and rest the turkey for 10 minutes prior to carving.
 

Storage Instructions

Keep refrigerated. Store at 0-4°C.

Shelf Life/ Expiry Date

8 days. Refer to Best Before sticker on bag.

Handling Turkey Safely

   1. Keep fresh at temperature between 0- 4°C.
   2. Always keep raw turkey refrigerated and separate from other foods.
   3. Always thaw frozen turkey completely before cooking.
   4. Wash hands, work surfaces and utensils thoroughly in hot soapy water before and after handling turkey.
   5. Always cook thoroughly.
